I always had dreams of starting my own business and I started Chebbo's burgers as a side hustle.
My name is Ali Chebbani aka Chebbo, the CEO of burgers on TikTok.
The passion for food stems from my upbringing. My mum's extremely creative and my dad's just a hard worker. I feel like I take inspiration from both of them. We'd have massive family gatherings, everyone's cooking all of these kinds of dishes, different flavours.
And so I feel like that's manifested itself into my videos.
I started for a bit of fun. Something to do while I worked my job in the finance industry.
Once I saw the opportunity with my growing TikTok audience I realised I can make something bigger out of this.
Thanks to TikTok I've been able to take my business from a little marquee outside my house sell burgers, to this food truck right behind me here, and now my very own restaurant. We're building a store in Marrickville, which I'm so excited for.
Through posting these videos I'm able to have such a big impact on people and the community.
And on the other side of things I get a bunch of messages from people saying I've inspired them to start a business.
It's honestly been life-changing, not only for myself, but for my friends, family and community as well.
